SEO Services For Margaret River Small Businesses

Someone's Already Searching for You. SEO Makes Sure They Find You First.

Right now, someone's typing “cellar door open today” or “best coffee Margaret River” into Google. Your business might do exactly what they're after, but if your site doesn't show up on the first page, that search ends at your competitor instead.

I'm Marinda, a digital consultant offering SEO services to Margaret River businesses. I don't sell ad campaigns. I build your website so Google understands what you do and shows you to the people already looking for it.

What SEO Actually Means for Your Business

SEO stands for search engine optimisation, and stripped of the jargon, it comes down to three things:

Google can read your site properly. Clear page titles, working links, and a structure that doesn't confuse a search engine trying to work out what you sell.

Your content answers real questions. People search “wine tasting Margaret River this weekend,” not “premium viticultural experiences.” Your site needs to speak the first language, not the second.

Your business shows up where locals and visitors look. Google Business Profile, local map results, and search terms tied to the region, not just your business name.

Nail those three things and you stop paying for attention you could earn for free.

 What I Actually Do

Technical audit. I check your site for the problems stopping Google from ranking it properly: broken links, slow load times, missing page titles, duplicate content.

Content built around real searches. Blog posts, service pages, and location pages written for what people in and around Margaret River actually type into Google, not filler copy stuffed with keywords.

Schema markup. Structured data that helps Google display your opening hours, reviews, and location directly in search results, without a visitor needing to click through first.

Google Business Profile optimisation. Your listing is often the first thing a visitor sees before your website. I make sure it's accurate, complete, and working for you.

Reporting you can understand. Plain numbers on what's improving, not a dashboard full of metrics nobody explains.

Signs Your Website Might Be Losing Search Traffic

01

Your competitor's blog posts outrank your homepage

If a search for your own service turns up someone else's article before your business, Google trusts their content structure more than yours right now.

02

Your Google Business Profile shows old hours or a closed listing

Visitors check this before they check your website. An outdated profile sends them straight to a competitor without your site getting a look in.

03

Your site takes more than a few seconds to load on mobile

Most Margaret River searches happen on a phone with patchy signal. A slow site loses the visitor before they see anything you've written.

04

You've never touched your page titles or meta descriptions

These are the headline and blurb Google shows in search results. Left as default text, they tell Google, and the visitor, nothing useful about what you actually offer.

05

Your last blog post is over a year old

Google reads an inactive site as a lower priority than one adding relevant content regularly, especially in a market with seasonal search patterns.

How I Track Whether SEO Is Working

I check three things, not a dashboard full of numbers that don't mean anything without an explanation attached.

Rankings for the searches that matter to you. Not every keyword, just the ones tied to what you actually sell and who searches for it.

Organic traffic to your site. How many people are finding you through search, and whether that number moves in the direction it should.

Enquiries and bookings tied back to search. Rankings and traffic mean nothing if they don't turn into a phone call, a booking, or a table filled. I report on outcomes, not just movement on a graph.

You get plain updates on what's changed and why, not a spreadsheet you need me to translate every time.

Why I Don't Recommend Paid Ads

Paid ads stop working the moment you stop paying. SEO keeps working long after the invoice is settled, because you're improving something you own, your website, instead of renting attention by the click.

That doesn't mean SEO is instant. It takes months to build, not days. But once your site ranks properly for the searches that matter, it keeps bringing customers in without an ongoing ad budget behind it.

How long does SEO take to work in Margaret River?

Most businesses see meaningful movement within three to six months. Local search results shift faster than competitive city markets, but they still need time to build.

Do I need a blog to rank on Google?

Not always, but fresh, relevant content helps Google see your site as active and useful. For a business with a seasonal calendar, tours, tastings, events, a blog gives you an easy way to keep adding content Google can index.

Is SEO worth it for a small Margaret River business?

If customers find you through Google before they find you any other way, yes. If most of your business comes from repeat visitors or word of mouth, the return looks different, and I'll tell you honestly which situation you're in.

Do you guarantee first page rankings?

No one honestly can. Google's algorithm changes constantly, and anyone promising a guaranteed ranking is promising something outside their control. What I can guarantee is a site built properly for search, without shortcuts that put your rankings at risk later.

Can you help with my Google Business Profile as well as my website?

Yes. Your Business Profile and your website work together. I check both are consistent and both are set up to show your business accurately in local search.

What's the difference between SEO and Google Ads?

SEO earns your ranking through your website's content and structure. Ads pay for a spot at the top of the page for as long as you keep paying. I only work on the first.
