Terms & Conditions: Web Services

Deposit: A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your project slot and initiate the design process.
Final Balance: The remaining 50% (plus any additional page fees or out-of-scope costs) is due upon project completion or expiration of review periods.
Late Fee Clause: Any invoice not paid within 7 days of the due date will incur a late fee of $50 per week or 5% of the outstanding balance (whichever is greater).
Work Suspension: Rift Digital reserves the right to suspend all services and staging site access if payments are overdue by more than 14 days.

Agreed Scope: The initial quote covers the specific number of pages and agreed project scope.
Additional Pages: Any pages requested by the Client that exceed the agreed-upon number will be billed at a flat rate of $200 per page.
Billing: These additional fees will be added to the final 50% invoice and must be paid before the website is moved to a live environment.

Round 1: The Client has 5 working days to submit changes. If no response is received, the project is deemed approved, and the final balance becomes due.
Round 2: If Round 1 changes were submitted, a second round is provided with a 5 working day window. If no response is received, the balance becomes due.
Excessive Revisions: Additional rounds requested after these two included stages are billed at $250 per revision round.

To ensure the best performance of the website, the division of SEO tasks is as follows:

Rift Digital (Technical On-Page SEO): Includes technical optimisation such as meta tag structures, image alt-text, site speed optimisation, mobile responsiveness, and XML sitemaps.
Client (Content & Strategy): The Client is responsible for providing all website copy and identifying the relevant keywords they wish to target. Rift Digital will implement these keywords into the technical structure but does not perform keyword research or SEO copywriting unless specifically quoted.

Monthly Fee: A recurring hosting fee of $29 per month is payable alongside the final project payment.
Deployment: The website will be made "Live" only after the final project balance, any additional page fees, and the first month’s hosting have been paid in full.

Once the site is live and final payment is made, any further changes are handled via a Request for Quote (RFQ).
The hourly rate for out-of-scope work or consulting is $100 per hour (or part thereof).
